BOISE, Idaho ÔÇô The Idaho Lottery has confirmed that one Mega Millions with Megaplier ticket sold for last night┬┤s draw in the Coeur d┬┤Alene area is now worth $1 million. The winning ticket matched the first five numbers, but not the Mega Ball, and has the Megaplier option. The winning numbers were 2, 9, 14, 37, 42, and the Mega Ball was 41.
Idaho Lottery officials are encouraging all players to check their tickets carefully for winners and to sign their tickets before presenting them for payment.
This is the third "Match 5" winner on Mega Millions for the Kootenai County area of northern Idaho this year, and the first $1 million winner. The winning ticket has the Megaplier, an option players select at the time of purchase that multiplies non-jackpot winning tickets up to four times. Matching the first five numbers wins $250,000, however, this winning ticket has the Megaplier which makes matching the first five numbers an automatic $1 million winner.
This ticket was the only $1 million winner in the country for last night┬┤s draw. The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday night┬┤s draw is an estimated $101 million.
