BOISE, Idaho ÔÇô Players watching the Idaho Lottery's Powerball and Mega Millions draw shows will now find the live drawings on KNIN Channel 9 or KIVI Channel 6 in the greater Treasure Valley broadcast market starting tomorrow night.
"Access to our big jackpot draw shows over broadcast television is an integral component of customer service that has helped make the Idaho Lottery successful over the past 20-plus years," said Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery Director. "The new agreement with Journal Broadcast Group provides the Idaho Lottery an opportunity to continue showing our "Live" big jackpot draws four nights a week by increasing the visibility of our games."
Effective July 1, 2011, KNIN, currently the CW affiliate in the Treasure Valley, will begin airing Mega Millions draws on Friday and Tuesday nights live at 9:00 p.m. Mountain Time.
Starting on July 2, 2011, KNIN, will begin airing the Powerball draws on Saturday and Wednesday nights live at 8:59 p.m. Mountain Time. The Powerball draws will continue to originate from Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.
Both drawings will continue live on KNIN Channel 9 live when the station affiliation changes to the Fox Network on September 1, 2011.
Additionally, KIVI, the ABC affiliate in the Treasure Valley, will replay the Powerball draws on Wednesday and Saturday nights as well as the Mega Millions draws on Tuesday and Friday nights during their 10 p.m. news broadcasts.
Both KNIN and KIVI are owned by the Journal Broadcast Group. The two-year agreement expires on June 30, 2013.
