BOISE, Idaho ÔÇô Orange is back on Halloween morning when the eighth annual Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle from the Idaho Lottery goes on sale at 4 a.m. Mountain Time with a guaranteed jackpot prize of $1,000,000 by New Year's Eve.

"All of our Idaho-only games are met with enthusiasm from our players, in particular the Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle. It is always one of the most anticipated games of the year by players and holiday shoppers," said Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery Director. "This game has become a gift giving tradition. With a lot of prizes and the best odds offered to win a guaranteed million dollars in Idaho, we look forward to selling this game out before Christmas."

This year's Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle offers more winning experiences than any of the previous seven years for this game, with a total of 6,163 prizes. New this year are four early bird prizes of $2,500. At pre-determined intervals in ticket sales, the Idaho Lottery will select one winning ticket to receive a $2,500 cash prize. The winning ticket will still be eligible to win another prize, including the $1,000,000 jackpot. The first early bird draw will occur after the 10,000^th ticket is sold. Early bird prize winners may claim their $2,500 prize prior to the official end of the game, and must do so from Idaho Lottery headquarters in Boise.

Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle represents the best odds offered by the Idaho Lottery to win $1,000,000 - guaranteed. In addition to the top prize of $1,000,000, there are two prizes of $10,000 and 6,160 other prizes. Here's the prize breakdown:

Only 250,000 of the $10 tickets for the game will be sold. The Idaho Lottery anticipates tickets will sell quickly, and once they're gone, they're gone. No additional tickets will be issued once the last ticket is sold. Tickets will remain on sale until 1:00 p.m. Mountain Time on December 31, 2014 or until the last ticket is sold, whichever occurs first. Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle tickets will be available for purchase anywhere Idaho Lottery Draw Games are sold.

On New Year's Eve, someone in Idaho will be holding a ticket worth $1,000,000. The Idaho Lottery will announce this year's winning Raffle numbers LIVE during the famous New Year's Eve Potato Drop in downtown Boise before an anticipated crowd of 40,000. The winning announcement takes place at 10:00 p.m. Mountain Time.

"As with all of our games, we encourage everyone to sign their tickets as soon as possible," said Anderson. "Tickets are bearer instruments and we pay whoever presents them."

Players will need to keep their tickets in a safe place until just after the holidays. The $1,000,000 top prize and the two $10,000 prizes must be claimed at Lottery Headquarters in Boise. All other prizes in the game may be claimed at any Idaho Lottery retail location after the winning numbers announcement on New Year's Eve.
