Lucky Idaho! $1,000,000 Powerball Winner Sold in Boise

BOISE, Idaho ÔÇô The largest Powerball jackpot in history has produced one new millionaire in Idaho. The Idaho Lottery has confirmed that at least one winning ticket matched all five of the first numbers from last night┬┤s historic $587.5 million Powerball draw and is worth $1 million. That winning ticket was sold in Boise. The winning numbers were 05, 16, 22, 23, 29 and the Powerball was 06.

"This has been a remarkable run of good luck for Idaho Lottery players, our retail partners, and our beneficiaries - Idaho public schools and permanent buildings," said Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery Director. "We are encouraging everyone who played Powerball for last night┬┤s draw to check their tickets carefully for winners. Too often we see players not match the Powerball and think they do not have a winning ticket. In this case, the ticket matched all five of the first numbers and is worth $1 million. "

ÔÇïIncluding the million dollar winning ticket, there were 56,937 winning tickets in Idaho that won a total of $1,344,813. Two of those winning tickets matched four of the first five numbers and the Powerball number. Both of those tickets are worth $10,000 each. Those two winning tickets were sold in Caldwell and Meridian.

ÔÇïThe Idaho Lottery also encourages everyone to sign the back of their tickets prior to presenting them for payment.

ÔÇïLast night┬┤s million-dollar winner and the two $10,000 winners have 180 days to claim their prize from Idaho Lottery headquarters in Boise.
