INTRALOT, USA Selected for Idaho Lottery Gaming System Contract

BOISE, Idaho ÔÇô INTRALOT, USA has been chosen as the Apparent Successful Vendor for a ten-year contract to provide Lottery Gaming System services for the Idaho Lottery. The contract provides for a secure central gaming system capable of delivering, managing, and accounting for all current in-state and multi-state Draw Games, inventory control and logistics for the full complement of Scratch Games, and other related services. During their meeting on November 17, 2016 the Idaho State Lottery Commission accepted the recommendation of Lottery Director Jeff Anderson to move forward on contract negotiations with INTRALOT for an agreement that commences on October 1, 2017.Director Anderson's decision comes at the culmination of a four-and-a-half month open bidding process among responsible, responsive, and experienced lottery gaming system vendors. A skilled team of knowledgeable Idaho Lottery professionals made their recommendation to the Director after evaluating the proposals from the three qualified companies who provide these services to North American lottery jurisdictions.

"This allows us the opportunity to improve our technology, provide quality services to our players and retailers, and continue protecting the security and integrity of our games here in the Gem State," said Idaho Lottery Director Jeff Anderson. "There has been a tremendous amount of work and research done by all the parties involved during the process. I express my sincere gratitude to the members of the evaluation team for their conscientious work that resulted in this recommendation and to our valued industry colleagues who all seriously came to the table to earn Idaho's business."

This decision does not constitute an expansion of gaming in the State of Idaho.

"We believe firmly in responsible and transparent government. I'm confident we'll be able to negotiate the contract terms before the Christmas Holiday and begin the months-long conversion in January 2017 or sooner," added Anderson. "As stewards of this important state entity, initiating a comprehensive bid process and conscientiously seeing that process through to conclusion is in the best interest of the Lottery, Idaho citizens, and our beneficiaries: Public Schools and the Permanent Building Fund of our great State."

"The responsibilities of the Idaho State Lottery Commission are to ensure proper oversight of operations and contracts awarded by the Idaho Lottery," said Mel Fisher, Idaho Lottery Commission Chairman. "This announcement is the embodiment of good governmental practices by the Lottery and the Evaluation Team. The process for this result has been exemplary and the choice to improve our current systems after a decade in service is the responsible decision."

INTRALOT, USA is headquartered in Duluth, Georgia. Since February 2007, it has been the Idaho Lottery's provider for the existing, complete operational system. The decision moves the contracting process forward and should result in a ten year contract with two five-year options to extend up to another ten years. The value of the initial contract term is estimated at $60 million.

Currently, the Idaho Lottery operates 1,063 retail terminals, 319 full-service self-activated vending machines, 60 self-service machines for draw games only, and 540 electronic jackpot signs at 1,041 retail locations in 173 towns and cities across the Gem State.
