BOISE, Idaho ÔÇô At the conclusion of the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL) annual conference last month in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Idaho Lottery Director Jeff Anderson was elected as the national organization's 1st Vice-President.
"This is a tremendous honor, not just for me, but Idaho as well," said Anderson, who completed a term as the NASPL 2nd Vice-President this year. "Looking at how the Lottery industry is currently, this is an exciting time to be at the forefront of the national agenda."
Anderson took over the Idaho Lottery in 2007 and has guided the organization into one of the top performing jurisdictions in the country. In a recent evaluation of all forty-three United States lotteries, the Idaho Lottery finished 7th in Fiscal Year 2010 for percentage of sales increase.
"We are performing at a level in the top tier of other lotteries in the country," added Anderson. "And we're doing it in a manner keeping with the leadership principles of the state, with responsibility and integrity."
