Idaho Captures Powerball Gold

BOISE, Idaho ÔÇô Idaho has struck gold again by recording its sixth million dollar winning Powerball ticket since July 1, 2013. The Idaho Lottery has confirmed that one winning Powerball ticket for last night's $286.1 million draw was sold at an Idaho Lottery retail location in Canyon County. The winning numbers were 36, 44, 49, 52, 57 and the Powerball was 1. The winning ticket matched all five of the first numbers but not the Powerball.

"Per capita, Idaho is currently the luckiest jurisdiction in the United States for wins over $500,000 on multi-state draw games. That puts us at the top of the podium," said Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery Director. "We are encouraging everyone who played Powerball for last night┬┤s draw to check their tickets carefully. Too often we see players not match the Powerball and think they do not have a winning ticket. In this case, the ticket matched all five of the first numbers and is worth $1 million."

Including the million dollar winning ticket, there were 6,983 winning Powerball tickets in Idaho from last night┬┤s draw. With no jackpot winner, the estimated jackpot for Saturday night is now $330 million.

The Idaho Lottery encourages everyone to sign the back of their tickets prior to presenting them for payment.

Last night┬┤s million dollar winner has 180 days to claim their prize at Idaho Lottery headquarters.
