BOISE, Idaho ÔÇô The fourth edition of the Idaho Lottery's holiday Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle game ended just like its three predecessors did, as a sell-out. The 250,000th ticket was sold on Christmas Eve and officially ended sales. No additional tickets will be issued. About 26% of the game, over 64,000 tickets, was sold in the final seven days of sales, including more than 20% in the final four days.
Many Lottery retail locations around the Gem State reported brisk sales and busy stores last week. During the height of sales last Tuesday, Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle tickets were selling at a rate of over 1,600 per hour. The 2010 version of the Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle was the fastest Idaho Lottery Raffle to sell its final 20% of tickets since the game debuted in 2007.
"We would like to say thank you to all our retail partners and players for their participation since this game began, and especially during the past week," said Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery Director. "Someone right now is currently holding a ticket worth $1,000,000. All players holding an Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle ticket should sign the back of it and keep it in a safe place until the winning numbers are announced on Wednesday evening."
The winning numbers will be announced on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. Mountain Time. In addition to the top prize of $1,000,000, there are four $25,000 prizes, two hundred and fifty $250 prizes, five hundred $100 prizes, and one thousand seven hundred and fifty $50 prizes.
