Eastern Idaho Sells Another $200,000 Powerball Winner

BOISE, Idaho ÔÇô For the second time in as many months, eastern Idaho has sold a $200,000 winning Powerball ticket. The Idaho Lottery has confirmed that one ticket from last night's draw matched all five of the first numbers, but not the Powerball, and was sold at an Idaho Lottery retail location in Bannock County. The winning numbers for last night's $54.4 million Powerball draw were 5, 19, 29, 45, 47 and the Powerball was 25.

ÔÇï"Eastern Idaho is definitely a hot spot for big winning Powerball tickets," said Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery Director. "We are encouraging everyone who played Powerball for last night's draw to check their tickets carefully for winners. Too often we see players not match the Powerball and think they do not have a winning ticket. In this case, the ticket matched all five of the first numbers and is worth $200,000."

ÔÇïOver the past two years, Idaho has had eleven winning Powerball tickets that matched the first five numbers (a "Match 5" prize), but not the Powerball. Including last night's, eight of those eleven tickets were sold at eastern Idaho Lottery retailers. In the past four years, 14 of Idaho's 28 "Match 5" winning Powerball tickets have been in eastern Idaho.

ÔÇïLast night's winner has 180 days to claim their prize in Boise.

ÔÇïWith no jackpot winner last night, the Powerball jackpot for Saturday night's draw is an estimated $66 million.

ÔÇïThe Idaho Lottery is also reminding players to sign the back of all their tickets prior to presenting them for payment.
