Every July, the Idaho Lottery presents the Idaho State Department of Education and the permanent building fund with an annual dividend based on the previous year’s sales. That money is then distributed among school districts, public colleges and universities and other state agencies.
Idaho Lottery dividend money is used for the upgrades and repairs needed to create an environment where Idaho students can succeed.
On the third Thursday of every month, we are highlighting the projects schools did as a way to thank our players for what they do for Idaho students.
So…Happy Super Pretty Landscaping Upgrades Day!
Last year Basin School District, Buhl Joint School District, Lake Pend Oreille School District, Melba Joint School District, Soda Springs Joint School District, the Upper Carmen Charter School and the Idaho State Department of Parks and Recreation all used Idaho Lottery dividend dollars to upgrade their landscaping through projects like sprinkler system installations, sidewalk repairs and other beautification projects.
